Our Course

The Country Club of Montreal is an 18-hole golf course that is considered one of the best in Québec.  A 6,667-yard, par 72 course (from the championship tees) with a rating of 72.4 and a slope rating of 132, which allows high-level golfers to test their skills.

The course layout is the work of Roy Dye of the firm Pete Dye and Associates, who redesigned our course in 1974.  The course presents players with an interesting challenge that combines modern course architecture with a classic setting.

The accuracy of your shot making is extremely important on the course.  Each fairway is lined with trees (some of which are one hundred years old) and other boundaries where any errant shot proves costly.  The course does not have any fairway bunkers, however the narrow fairways and the proximity of the bunkers to the greens will encourage you to choose precision over power. Whereas the course is fairly flat, the greens are small, fast and discreetly undulated.  At the height of the season, their speed varies between 9.5 and 11.0 on the stimpmeter.

The tees, fairways and greens have been seeded in annual blue grass (Poa annua).
